This is a map of the area of study that KDOT has used for development of 56 highway as a divided four lane road.
Fueling the development of 56 is the proposed BNSF intermodal logistics park facility. The above map shows that facility (in purple) built out to its full expectation of about 2 miles wide from north to south and a mile wide from east to west (at its fullest measure). The facility would create a significant trend in development for the projected 23,400 acres assessed as developable land in this corridor study (all of the blue-green area above).
