HELP is committed to ensuring a full Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and a Health Risk Assessment (HRA) for the 404-permit that the Corps of Engineers is evaluating.  We know that a strong majority opposes the BNSF intermodal project without a full EIS and HRA.  Impacts of an 1100-acre international rail-trucking hub need more in-depth analysis than is provided by the limited environmental assessment BNSF submitted for their permit.

A partial view of the intermodal railyard and trucking distribution facilities in Commerce, California.  This is the future projected for Johnson County by BNSF with political officials and chambers of commerce racing ahead and disregarding due diligence.  With your support, we will pursue the full EIS and HRA that this project clearly needs.
